Skip the SLI chances are you'll upgrade the video card rather than add a second cause next gen video cards single card better than 2x7800

Hey man, building an almost exact comp myself (even going with that Lexa case! veerrry sexy!) I was originally going to go with SLI and decided to scrap it after much forum reading and online research, the mobo I'm gonna use is the Asus K8N-E ultra, goes on newegg for about $110. Other than that love the build!

ps: WoW rox in 20 inch glory!

yeah but i since im going with an evga 7800GT i could get a free EVGA SLI mobo, should I go with the deal or is the mobo I get in the deal crap?

Also if I go with the deal and get the free mobo than I being my purchase down from 1300 to around 1240, seems like a pretty good deal, I just need to know if the mobo is crap so if it is than I will know that saving 60 bucks isent worth it. If I dont get the EVGA board than I will prolly get a non SLI DFI board.

if u decide not to go with the 7800gt/mobo combo, id check to see if an x1800 fits ur budget (i duno what there priced at anymore...) but i think there faster than 7800gt's... and if u wanna squeeze all the perforamnce out of that machine... u know... other than that, thats a sick rig u got, i have a 3700 as well and love that beast :p

anyone know of a rlly good, but not over priced, non SLI mobo?

The Epox 9NPA+ Ultra that I have is an excellent motherboard. There is a review of a bunch of the nForce4 Ultra boards on Anand Tech and the EPoX and DFI boards tied for the lead.

It's stable, works perfectly and looks great, too!
