Now i play games with a resalution of 1280x1024 perfectly fine all cranked in rez with frame fates like 80fps F.E.A.R , 125FPS CS, Lost Coast 68fps, BF2 70fps. Now i'm woundering my board with it take 2 7800gts in a a8n-sli mobo cuz asus is very breif in manual and their crappy site i have al this ram but is unable to run in dual channal cuz it's stupid or sumthin..(dosn't support dual corsair value select so u all) know) I was just wondering does any1 have 2 7800gts in their a8n-sli (not deluxe or priemiem) and have them running with out a bios flash or should i just upgrade my mobo to solve all my issuses and buy a video card another time?

Of course you can Sli with the 7800GTs in a sli-board, your corsair value ram will be a significant bottleneck unless they overclock like hell in singlechannel mode. Check if a bios update fixes the ram issue before you sell. If one card works, two will aswell - without a vidBios/moboBios update

it's not really worth getting sli if your max res is 1280x1024

it gets weirder with the ram yes vaule select ram is 400ddr but in everest is show 219ddrsingle channale cl2 which even cofuses me more cuz i think that it's only running at 200mhz?!!? also that asus site suck huge go nades cuz it give ne no info on the new bios, and their is nore list that they sy in the manual that there is a list of ram that is not compatiable . I wounln't even know why ram would be an issuse the sticks are easliy stll $160 for 1gb so wtf this isn't even close to the cheapest ram and my 2x512 is 135 that isn't cheapest for ram either F#ck asus liek wtf? y should just hand select ram when i have crazy good ram at a decient price my latency is 2.5-3-3-5 like what assholes of asus to no support this. i think if i buy a new borad I WILL NOT BUY ASUS AGAIN cuz of 1 bad experance, it's a shame i really liked them, i guess msi willdo better or even dfi screw asus i'm feed up with em

save your money, sli will not help you. you have nothing that need help... if you only use 1280X1024 you will be fine with ONE 7800GT, but if you play on 1600X1200 then its time to go sli...

I haven't own any asus ever. Im using gigabyte right now, its not an extreme overclocking but it is pretty stable board. Try experimenting with your timings like overclock or underclock it and change 1T to 2T.

thxn guys for all the info i decided not to go sli, because well i'm bottlenecled somewhere anyways.
i decieded to run hf2 stress test i get 127.29fps maxed rez @ LCD
then did the test with everything low and got 137.25fps so i thought to myself lets run another test so i ran loast coast test
everything max 64.98fps with LCD rez (1280x1024)
then everythng low same rez and got 69fps where my bottleneclk my ram? cpu? maybe my peice of crap asus a8n-sliu mobo which i recomed to no ever even if ur a poor ass don't waste ur money wait that 6monbths to save that 50 mo in to months ith will be cheaper anyways i pitty the fool who get asus a8n-sli says MR.T

It's either the memory or the CPU. I think your system is likely just fine. Mine isn't much better, and it can handle everything I throw at it. I only have 1 GB, but it's Corsair XMS CL2, and I get close to 8000 in 3dMark05, and haven't had a problem running any game I own (AKA, got free with the computer), in 1280x1024 at full settings, often with Bionic running in the background.
