It depends on what CPU you are going for. If it is a Presler, your choice would be Intel 975x. It does improve your gaming experience and the overall perfomance of your board. Check out the following review:

Definately the 975X. Its a much better chipset now and its far more stable than the previous versions.

The core(?) name of Pentium D 9xx series. Intel uses AMD style naming now!

stonestreet (my RL friend btw.) wants this cpu

Pentium 4 D 930, 3.0GHz Dual-Core 64-Bit, 2x2MB, LGA775, 800MHz FSB

so i spose this would be a good choice as a mobo

Presler is Intels new line of processors. They use a 65nm technology vs. a 90nm technology.

Yes, that's a good board and the 930 is a good chip. Especially if they are going to OC it. Gigabyte makes a good 975X board too.

thx for the info, however i fail to see what cpu the Pentium 930 now would
be lol

ahh k thx, tho he wont OC it (he even let a company build it lol)

The 930 is a presler core Pentium D dual core chip. Its Intels newest and most current chip lineup.
