Hello and thanks for stopping by to read my posting.

I am building my first PC and here, after endless research and reading is my chosen spec. I want it to be as fast and quiet as I can afford and have a budget of £850.

What do you think? Is there anything you would add or remove? I am planning to buy it all from Scan.co.uk unless you can recommend anywhere else?

Any advice and options would be greatly appreciated, thanks. MM

1GB is okay but 2 Gb of ram is lot better for performance. Corsair value ram are great for gaming.

Looks great, but agree with both of the above post 8)
2gigs of ram for gaming is just sexi, you won't regret it :)

I agree with all others about the RAM. The other thing to consider is, if your going to OC at all, go for an opty 165

I like what i see but i would have to recommenned that you get a opty 165 instead of the x2 3800 because opty ocs better and they run way cooler. the mobo save yourself some money and get the premium for wayless there is no performance increase with the true 16x sli so the cost aint justified.

You can't put DDR2 in your mobo dude. Welcome to AMD legacy system.

I realized you are thinking in terms of AM2. Nowadays this is epidemic between AMD-biased boys!
