It looks like MSI's AM2 motherboard is shaping out well. If you've noticed, this board will be the vanilla "Platinum Edition" since it only supports 2 x 8X PCI-e slots for SLI.
The diamond version will feature full 2 x1 6X PCI-e slots and a southbridge for more than 40+ PCI-e lanes, advanced audio, dual gigabit ports (with Nvidias astounding hardware firewall) and more goodies.
how aint amd gonna stick to even gigahertz increase like b4 200 mhz eachtime and mike you said that the crystal clock is 200 right but thats only for fsb so i think dat da speeds will stay the same 1.6 ghz and up 200 mhz at a time but the fsb will be increased to 333 and how will it sound 2.333 that sucks i hate uneven clock speeds like 1.8673333 like my old xp 2500 and 1.583 like the sempron 2300 man amd please dont go back to uneven clock speeds please and will they make uneven multiplier like 10.5 or 10.3
The crystal clock is being bumped from 200 to 333, you can't change the FSB base w/o changing the crystal clock because they are 1 in the same. And those uneven speeds like 2.333Ghz is take from 7.5 and 8.5 multipliers, but a multi of .3 is unlikely, not to mention wouldn't seem probable.
I've posted something like that a good while ago.
It's really nice to see how Socket AM2 boards are shaping out. Asus and MSI are my best recommended brands for motherboards.
