DDR RAm Burning

I just buy DDR400 ram today.I install it to my pc ,but unfortunately i mistakenly install the RAM in the wrong direction.Then the RAM is starting to burning.
Can i still possibly got a warranty.Or how can i eliminate the burning smell from the RAM so the guy at the computer shop dont know,so then i can get a warranty.
Please help me.

NOT a good mistake to make...this is your fault and no store in the right mind will take it back...trying to cheat them will not work! Buy new ram and install it correctly (read instructions)

haha, you managed to force it in even though the notches won't have matched. Pure stupidity , lesson learned, buy some more.
