I am going to be upgrading from my single core venice 3500+ to either a dual core x2 3800+ or a 4400+. I heard there were some new drivers I will have to download (like chipset and some driver from microsoft)? can someone please post a link if you know what i am talking about.

AMD has them on their website, or you can search for dual core drivers.

Microsoft has a patch as well.

I would recomend trying to run without them and see if you have any problems first, since it's only some games, some of the time, that have problems, and some work and are broken by the various drivers.
