3 gigs of ram

i want to up grade my motherboard to pci express form agp so i can get a better video card i have 2 gigs install now and a radeon 9600 my motherboard can only hold 2 gigs

2 gb's is fine for all today's games that I know of.

your money's better spent on a new video card, including the nvidia 7800gs. I am an ati guy myself, but unless your wanting to completely revamp your system including the cpu, i wouldn't touch the main board. you'll just do better with an X850 or 6600gs.

I'd stick with 2GB's and as fox said invest in a new video card.

Only and I mean only if you are a video editing professional...also if you are only do this in 2 X 512mb and 2 X 1gb, so that you can run in dual-channel.

Ye i've never heard of anyone getting 3 gigs before so i really dont think it would make much of a difference from 2 gigs.
