I have a copy of the windows 7 home premium upgrade, the one that comes with a 64-bit and 32-bit disc

but i have 2 PCs, so i also bought the student upgrade (home premium 64-bit), which i downloaded. They gave a CD key in an email.
but it turns out theres all sorts of issues with the downloaded files.

Could i use the disc i have and just type my student upgrade CD key?

The problem people are having with the download of the 64 bit version student download is as I understand it, the dowload is an .EXE file which won't run on a 32 bit system.
I can't see any reason why couldn't use the 64 bit disk with your key for the downloaded upgrade, assuming this in fact is a seperate key, from that which came with the disks.
