I've seen a couple of older postings on this, so I thought I'd put
in my experience. I bought a netgear RP614 router in October 2004
and it worked ok out of the box with my Cisco VPN client.
I then upgraded to the latest 5.20 firmware off the netgear website,
and couldn't maintain a tunnel, even after following their
suggestions on port forwarding.

My solution was to back off to the prior FW 5.14 (don't recall what rev
the original factory fw was.) VPN is now working fine without
any special port forwarding/triggering.
