Hey guys
Its seems when ever i oc my nvidia 6800 gs it does not run near as good when its not oced. here are my specs

Amd 3000 was running 2.2 gig oced but now stock
Nvidia BFG 6800 GS oc AGP
1024 patriot memory running 2t 3.3.3 .8 cpu/9
Epox 939 nforce 3 ultra


I just did some benchmarking with 3dmark 03
all stock 10442
bios optmized defaults 10464
optmized defaults and card oced 385/1065 scored 10457
optmized defaults and card oced 425/1160 scored 9200
optmized defaults card stock 370/1050 but 16/6 unlocked scored 11611
all stock voltage at the moment. i have tried uping it nothing seems to work.
Can anyone figure out why ocing my card gives my crap benchmarks??

It doesn't mean that overclocking would always give you performance increase. No. As for your case you may have oced your rig, but your system might not be stable to support the overclocking. There are many factors on it. Your hardware aren't having enought voltage. Overclocking your rig also requires increase in voltage for stability. It's the same with cars, if you want to get more power then you have to increase its fuel and air intake. Second, your system might be unstable due to heat. You might have unstable power supply, rarely happens. Or your system is just not stable to support your overclocking. I don't know much about o.c.ing the card but more likely its not stable at the higher speeds.
