I think You should try sound card emulation like <A HREF="http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsound/" target="_new">VDMSound</A>, or emulator of whole DOS based system <A HREF="http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/" target="_new">DOSBox</A>.
I'm assumig it is a DOS game, since it cares for sound card irq 
.
