Dual Layer problems

I am trying to burn Dual Layer DVDs (DL+). However, lots of times the copy is bad. A crc check reveals that some files are not burned correctly. Mostly this seems to be at the point from one layer to the other.

I have no problem burning normal DVDs and CDs, only DVD-DL gives issues.

I am using Nero burning rom 6.6.0.18 and the DL writer is a LiteOn DVDRW SOHW-1693S. My processor is an AMDx2 4400+.

I don't know what the problem might be. Does anyone have any idea?

could be the media you are burning on. are they quality blanks?

Try burning it at 2.4x... Slow I know, but it could be the problem.

I've heard of alot of people having issues w/ the Memorex's. I use verbatim on my 1633S and it works fine... But my burner only does 2.4x max.

I used Imation and Philips. As for the speed I use 2.4 as recommend on the DVD cover. I also tried burning at 4x which didn't make much difference. Perhaps I should try out this Verbatim to see if I have any success with it.
