8 beeps usually means there is no video card present, or the card is fautly, or has an error. But it may not be the same for all boards.

The error could be IRQ conflict, which means another expansion card may have an IRQ that your video card wants, but the bios is configured to give that specific card that IRQ.

So, you might need to uplug any PCI expansion cards, and then plug them back in, when you get your display up.
