Hey guys, I just built a system, you can see the SPECs in my signature.

well i got Corsair XMS 1gb (2x512mb) PC3200 TWINX1024-3200C2PT. I love the memory very fast. But if you read some of the reviews of the memory it seems it comes underclocked?

Pros: Runs at 2,3,3,6 1t at 200mhz @ 2.7v in my Epox. I've had it as high as 260mgz @ 2.5,3,3,8 and 2.8v.

Cons: Auto detects at 3,3,3,8 @ 200mhz. Latencies aren't that much better than Corair Value series. My CVS ram ran at 2.5,3,3,8 1t @ 200mhz 2.7v.

that is from new egg from one of the reviews.

mine does the same thing detects at the same speed. what TCL, TRCD TRAS TRP should I set the ram to so that I can run it at the correct speed of 2-3-3-6?

thanks

anyone help ?

Splendid
A lot of motherboards do this to ensure 1st boot and compatibility. Mine for example initially tries to clock my Corsair DDR400 2-3-2 RAM at 2.5-3-3. However, if you simply force the timings the RAM is clocked for, it should work just fine.

So just force the timings. You can't break anything. Worst case scenario is mobo won't post... clear BIOS jumper if that happens.

Your First Post

BTW: Your BIOS SS shows you're already running 2-2-2-5 RAM Timings.

From what I can gather, 1T Ram Timings in Dual Channel means it will grab from 1 set of Dual Channel RAM (2 Sticks) whereas 2T will grab from 2 sets of dual channel (4 sticks), I'm probably wrong, but it's in the ballpark (I hope).

Yeah that was not a actual screenshot of my BIOS. it was a review of my motherboard and the BIOS so you guys get an idea of what I was talking about.
