unistalling a stuburn program

suggestions: please..............

tried to unistall from add/remove................error message
tried deleting from programs files...........still shows up in add/remove
tried systrm restore........nada
tried reinstalling program no luck there either

i really don`t want to flatline and start from scratch

Remove all traces of it in the registary, if you do this righ then it will be removed from the add/remove list.

Then run a reg cleaner just to be sure.

This is one reason I love Windows 98 SE. I keep a full backup image and can completely reload the entire system in about 6 minutes flat. XP is huge and such a pain in the rump! I never clean anything off my 98 machine. If it has any problems what so ever I just reload the whole thing.

I image XP as well but for some reason it takes forever to restore and sometimes the images decide not to work. I've never had that problem with 98.

I nLite my XP SP2 installation (Remove drivers / apps / whatever I don't need + unattended installation) and use that at my reinstall disk if I ever need it. Takes about 15mins to do full reinstall. :lol:

after calming down and walking away from the computer.....
i figured it out......
went to the other user on the machine and deleted it there
