Hi. I'm looking at getting the Enermax Liberty 500W, and need to know if it will give my system enough power. I was looking at the 620W model, but thought I'd ask here before i played for keeps.

the specs:

P4 630 (OCd to around 3.9)
GeIL ONE DDR400 1GB dual channel kit (overclocked about 30%)
Seagate 160gb SATA HDD
NVidia GeForce 6800GT 256MB PCI-E
a few case fans.. etc

so whaddaya think my power requirements will be like?

That should be enough if your not running two video cards in sli mode.

the 500w is able to run 2 x 6800gt in sli config.. the manual from enermax usa said so.. soo i assume it can..

Should check what the Rail 12v+ amps are. I've heard or read somewhere, that the min is aroun 18 amps. Anything less, could lead the system to be unstable.

But with 6800's might get by.

so i am also running a video capture device powered through a firewire PCI card, and dual monitors.

I am not running SLI. Although its quite ironic that i'm not running SLI on this system for the kind of work that i'm doing.. if i upgrade to slightly more power demanding hardware later, should i just get the 620 to be safe??...

Because I'm just not sure... i'm a little reluctant when thinking about the 500W because i'm worried that it may hinder my overclocking ability in some way.
