Hey guys,

Ok so I have already purchased the Pentium 4 630 prescott but I am now wondering if I made a mistake and should have went with the Pentium D 930??? They are both 3.0GHZ but... isn't Pentium way faster???

So should I sent the Prescott back and go with the 930 or what????

Your imput on this decsion would be much appreciated!

Regards,

Apex

Sort of depends on what you're doing. If you're just gaming and surfing the net, Prescott is fine. If you're doing a lot of heavy encoding (I presume you are not or you wouldn't be asking this question), then a dual core pentium is the way to go.

I would just keep it and use it. Its a good processor with potential and performs well.

plenty good for what you want to do likely.... I have a P4 530J.... 3.0Ghz... lightning fast.... currently overclocked to a mere 3.25Ghz... when I get better RAM, I'll hit 3.48Ghz... then new mobo, and I'll head higher 8) I'm quite happy with my system, but like someone else said, it depends on what you want out of it.
