TomsHardware ran a test on these and found that the stock cooling w/fan is better than most of the after maket cooling systems and quiter. Unless you are going silent or water stick with the factory. The EE series have an upgraded block and fan.
Do a search on there site and read the article, it was a surprise.

not saying anything about th, but intel guys can accurately say that stock hsf works better than most of the aftermarket hsfs they've tried cauz intel guys tend to buy the worst products on the market
EDIT: in all seriousness though, depending on which processor you bought, the stock hsf is probably pretty good, but if u knew what you're doing, it doesnt beat a cnps or xp
The stock cooler will do, but it's fairly noisy. Similar coolers will do a similar job with similar noise. You really need a 120mm fan cooler to improve things, like the Thermaltake Big Typhoon.
yup... i'm wid crashman on this. stock cooler will do just fine. in a lot of cases stock coolers perform identically and sometimes better than aftermarket solutions- though this can vary widely.
As you can see, there are worse solutions than the intel stock cooler. keep in mind they were overclocking this 3.0Ghz P4... so don't be too alarmed the temps.
