Motherboard question

I am buying a new computer and I am either going to get this motherboard and video card...

Motherboard
Asus A8N-SLI Premium- $166.99

Video Card
eVGA 256MB 7800GT x 2 (SLI) - $628.00 + $20 rebate on each one

...or I am going to get the

Videocard
GIGABYTE GV-RX19X512VB Radeon X1900XTX 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail

if i get the radeon will it work with the ASUS motherboard listed above or will I need to get a new motherboard... if i need to get a new one please give me some recommendations. Thanks.

The Radeon card will probably give you equal or better performance in some cases than the 2 GT cards. Yes, the x1900xtx will work in any mobo with a pci-e 16x slot BUT if you want to get 2 x1900xt's and crossfire them, you cannot use an SLI board. Another thing to look at...you should really consider getting the "plain ole" XT as opposed to the XTX. The price you will be paying for the XTX over the XT isnt worth the performance you will gain and you can easily overclock the XT to XTX speeds.
