1998 Sound Blaster 5.1 or 6 Channel Realtek Onboard Audio

Basically, what should I do for better sound performance? Onboard or just the card....does it even matter really?

buy an up to date pci sound card with dolby surround and stuff like that you can not beat them, I find that some times the on board sond goes funny, where as the pci never seem to go wrong, thats just my opion.
