I have read somewere the 7800 can do AA, AF and HDR, but can't do HDR if AA is enabled. The 1900xtx can enable all three ??? I have heard. Guru's post me a link please or expalian. I'm preaty sure I read this somewere but been reading so much about cards I forget. I'm not a fanboy, just would like the best card when I buy in near future. This is why I am hearing the x1900 is better. ?? If I bought today. I know wait for 7900 to see what's realy up. Thanks Crashman. I know you'll probally read this.

The 6800/7800 series has a limitation that prevents it from doing a specific type of HDR (Called OpenEXR) when AA is enabled.

OpenEXR is becoming more popular, but some games are making workarounds that turn off OpenEXR and emulate HDR if AA is engaged on a 7800 card.

The 7900 is rumored to be simply 7800 architecture overclocked on a smaller die, but it remains to be seen if the 7900 series will share this limitation.

I for one, will be rather irritated/disappointed if the much feared G71 is nothing other than a die-shrink version of the 7800GTX 512 with faster core and roughly the same mem speeds....

If so, it appears ATI will continue to rule for teh next 6 months....

I don't know about the 7900 specs - I think it will most likely be right. Nvidia did run into some problems with mhz on their 90nm tech, and the last thing Nvidia would want is a delay on release. It ought to be a close contest, but my best bet is that Nvidia is focusing heavily on a DX10 card, so why waste time?

By DX10 I actually meant support for SM4.0 - to my knowlegde that is what DX10 will bring to the party. So the 7900 and 1900 will work with Vista, but by the time Vista ships, we will have games running on SM4.0 and a card from both companies.

Don't scold me - I'm just as angry :D . That was what I said aswell, only the odd 4 games with SM3.0, 10 with SM2.0 and already they are hitting for SM4.0. Talk about a waste of resources.
