More Information

I have been trying to overclock my AMD 3500+ Winchester but with not a lot of success. The best I could get was a about 2450mhz before becoming unstable. I lowered the HTT to 4x and increased vcore slightly. My question is what are some ranges that I want to stay within. I have stock cooling and have had my cpu up to 2450mhz with no problem in temps around 40c under load but can't get it to be stable. Any advice on some general perameters that I want to stay within to get to 2500hmz stable I would appreciate. Like what vcore, memory voltage, FSB, multiplier, etc. Should I get an aftermarket heatsink? Any website to help would be nice as well.
