I was comparing the Truepower 430 with the TruepowerII 430 and have not found too many differences, aside from the True430 being around $30 more than the TPII.

The only differences I found while looking at the spec sheets provided by Antec (TRUE430, TPII-430) are the TRUE430 having a > 68% efficiency rating, while the TPII-430 has a > 70% efficiency rating. The TRUE430 has a input current of 9.0A for 115VAC, while the TPII-430 is 10.0A for 115VAC. The TPII-430 also an operating temp of 0 to 50ºC, while the TRUE430 is 10 to 50ºC.

Finally, it appears that the TRUE430 has an AUX connector, while the TPII-430 does not.

Does anyone know if one of these is better quality than the other? The AUX connector is not important to me, and I don't see any reason why the TRUE430 would cost more than the TPII-430..

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

the true power 2 are newer and conform to the ATX12V 2.01 specs. these are the ones with 24 pins versus the older 20pin connector. if you're going to get a new power supply get the truepower 2, it will make it more future proof. antec has a detachable power connector so the 24 pins can become a 20+4pin connector for older mother boards. do not get a 20pin and use a convertor to put it into a 24pin motherboard.
the newer specs also sets newer and stricter guidelines for somethings, like how much volts on a certain line and tighter load regulation i think.

oh yeah, i forgot some other things. the TP2 has support for PCI-express power connector (ie for those graphics card that require additional power) without a convertor and the TP2 might have more SATA cables then the TP1 but i'm not sure about this.
