Hey. I'm trying to play quake 4 on my system and can't seem to get playable framerates - even at very low resolutions. Is this normal with the geforce 6800 or is it something else?
My system is an Athlon 64 3000+, 1GB DDR 400 with a 128 MB eVga 6800 graphics card.

Thanks.

no its not usual , beforce my 7800GT , i had a Leadtek 6800AGP 128mb and play quake 4 az 1024x768 at high detail with 2xAA , Try to use 81.98 Driver , the 80 Driver boost the performance in Quake 4
and your rig is fine for a high detail quake 4 !!

I have a p4 3.0ht sckt 478 and a bfg 6800 agp i can play it just fine as a matter of fact i could play it with my 6600. just got to play with the settings a little. the settings on my 6800 are display driver set af&aa on aplication controlled and game setings are high except shadows are off. This is all before soft modding it, I know i can unlock the other 4 pipes and overclock it.
do you have agp or pcie
