I am looking at buying an EXT ATX case for extra room (Specifically Extra PSU Room on the Lian-LI PCV 1200 vs. 1000 Version). I assume that I can still mount a "normal" ATX mobo in this unit. Can someone tell me differently?

Depends on the case. However the majority of EATX cases i've seen have mounting holes for ATX. Look at the case specs- it should state clearly what fits. If it doesn't call or email the manufacturer.

Of course it works. Extended ATX is just a wider version of ATX, it uses the same mounting holes in at least six of the locations.
