E-ATX Cases - Still Fit Standard ATX MOBO's? Tags: Power Supplies Cases ATX Lian Li Components Last response: February 27, 2006 4:21 AM in Components Share schumey February 25, 2006 5:32:20 PM I am looking at buying an EXT ATX case for extra room (Specifically Extra PSU Room on the Lian-LI PCV 1200 vs. 1000 Version). I assume that I can still mount a "normal" ATX mobo in this unit. Can someone tell me differently? More about : atx cases fit standard atx mobo mpjesse February 25, 2006 11:21:24 PM Depends on the case. However the majority of EATX cases i've seen have mounting holes for ATX. Look at the case specs- it should state clearly what fits. If it doesn't call or email the manufacturer. -mpjesse Crashman February 27, 2006 4:21:01 AM Of course it works. Extended ATX is just a wider version of ATX, it uses the same mounting holes in at least six of the locations. Can't find your answer ? Ask !
