I have an IPAQ 3650 running PC2002. Problem is when I
try to establish a connection it searches for my device
but can't find it. The status box comes up and I hear
the little beeps which means that their is some sort of
communication between my PC and IPAQ.(right??) I did get
a message at one point that said:
Can not start communication w/desktop computer. Remote
networking could not start due to a critical error
(Error 1).
In my connections tab I have AvantGo Connect, Beam,
Network Adapters and Connections (which has Internet
Settings, Work Settings and Network Card connects to:) I
have a feeling I am missing some type of connection on my
IPAQ that PC2002 didn't put in their. I just want to sync
with my IPAQ and computer, no networking or Internet.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My
computer is running XP Pro.
Jon

Hi,
Do you have a firewall installed on the PC? This can prevent ActiveSync
from seeing the Pocket PC.

Had the same problem with my 3760. The solution is quite simple - just
make sure the power-supply cable is connected to the cradle before and
while synchronising. Without the power cable the iPAQ drains too much
power from the USB port.
Hope it helps.
