All,

I need some help configuring w2k3server to allow multiple vpn
connections from approx 70 Linksys' BEFVP41. I currently use Freeswan
to allow all these branch offices to connect securely to our network
but I would like to make it work with Windows. These connections are
usually DSL or cable modem (DHCP assigned IP) with an average of 5-6
users. I have gone through the steps of setting up an IPSEC policy as
described by Microsoft, and configuring RAS as a VPN server, but I keep
getting the error message that I need to check my local/remote security
group settings. I believe I have it set-up correctly in the IPSEC
policy so is there something I am missing?
If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I am trying to do the same thing. I am new to VPN, and not exactly sure
what I need to accomplish. I have a LinkSys BEFVP41 Router, running
Windows Server 2003 and Win XP Clients. I need to connect 2-3 machines
to the Company LAN. How is this accomplished. I am using the Optimum
Online Cable ISP and can not get a static IP.

To best of my knowledge, Server 2003 requires to netork interfaces in
order to set it up as a VPN Server. Is there anyway of bypassing this
by use of the Router? Any help is greatly appreciated.
