The computer is a Dell, device manager says it has a "RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro (Microsoft Corpration) display adaptor.
My problem is this, the darkest color on the screen is overlayed hoizontally across the screen. It looks like smears of color in lines across the screen, not very nice. I assumed it was a driver issuse, so I uninstalled the driver. No effect. I assumed that even the crappy windows driver would be better, but no change.
Allright, the nVidia driver will fix this! It made it worse, so I unstalled it and I'm in the same fix. As I see it my problem might be that the driver didn't really unistall the first time or some of the driver is still on the system and i'm geting conflicts.
I can't upgrade it adaptor (work computer) and it's a goverment thing so they don't care about the problem. Do any of you have any idea's? Thanks in advance!
You need to remember that Dell does not use NVIDIA cards from BFG, Evga or what not--they use *DELL* video cards with the gpu and such made by nvidia. Go to support.dell.com and download using either your service tag or model #. Choose video drivers. Use the dell driver.
