I have a sample application I put together that creates 165 identical CEDB
records and sends it to device. Each record has 14 properties, and the
total file size on Pocket PC after the CEDB database is created using RAPI is
about 28KB.

The problem is that this is taking about 30 seconds to run.

Is RAPI normally this slow?

I'm asking, because this is many times slower than doing a similar operation
with the Palm Sync API with a slower Palm OS 3.5 device.

Or, am I potentially doing something wrong? Or, is there a setting on my XP
machine that I should check?

Have you tried closing all running programs before starting your app.
