Hey...........

Does anyone here know if FS 2006 will support SLI video? I just
upgraded my box to an AMD Socket 939 with 2 SLI video cards, and 2GB of
DIMM memory.

Did I waste my money?

I'm beginning to lose faith that there is even another Flight Simulator
being made. There has been absolutely no news about it for over a year.
Hope I'm wrong.

Its already known they are working on it, but no specifics about
requirements yet.

Even a Computer Pilot mag. article on scenery mentions that SCASM scenery
may not work with FS2006...so until the official word on requirements come
out its all a definite maybe :)

Could you clarify "it's already known" a little?

Sounds like "everybody knows" or "they say that." Worthless by itself.

What we "know" is that they have announced that some sort of Fight
Simulator will be available on X-Box 360. All the rest about FS2006/FS10 is
pure speculation.

Two years is common. Often the product even comes out near the very end of
the year it is "named" after. I wouldn't worry two much about it. I'll be
out at MS in Redmond in Sept,..if it isn't out by then and if I
remember,...I'll ask the "powers that be" myself. ;-)

Keep in mind that a lot of this stuff is under NDR (Non-Disclosure
Agreements) with the people involved who truely know. They can't talk about
it until a certain date when it is determined that it is "ok" to release
information to the public. In the meantime you just get "leaks" and
"rumors",...it has always been that way, and probably always will be,...just
be patient and get used to it.

I've never been convinced that the amount of loot one possesses has
anything to do with "taste" and other aesthetic sensibilities. When
Bill's house (aka "domestic complex/campus" ) on the shore of Lake
Washington was under construction, I paddled my kayak to the site a
few times to see what was going on. There are some beautiful and
some not-so-beautiful homes along that shoreline (just my aesthetic
opinions, of course), but Bill's home seemed to be shaping up nicely
as the neighborhood's latest eyesore; and some of his neighbors were
already making some noise concerning this very idea at the time.

I haven't been back to the area to see how it looks now, but I'm still
not entirely optimistic that it would look much better than I'm
imagining it after seeing the middle/later stages of construction.

Of course, I'm probably more concerned about the "eyesore on the
shore" than I am with Bill's personal grooming issues. :-)

Hmm lets see two come to mind right off the noggen...the MS video tour where
they talk to some of the MS people working on it...and a convention last
year where MS also mentioned it.

Again nothing official...just the people that work for MS mentioning
FS2006.

Wasn't the video tour shot during the building of FS2004COF (FS9)?

On the other hand, he can afford to wear his hair any way he wants.
