IRQ assignment

Does any one know how to assign manuel IRQ to resolve conflicts.
I know where to go to reserve a irq in the bios but how do I assign that IRQ to resolve the conflict?
Do I go through windows to do that, or is that where I find what irq are being used??/

what device are you tryin to change the irq of? if its a pci device, you can figure out which pci slots are sharing irqs and move the devices to seperate slots to give different irqs

its a usb device its being shared with my keyboard & APC backup
I can configure the backup even use the keyboard but can't control my aero cool: cool watch to set fan speeds and temps and crap

Are you sure that the USB device is conflict with the keyboard, you know, even if you rearrange the IRQ in the BIOS, after you enter the OS, the windows will change the settings which you have done, and could arrange the IRQs automatically.
