USB *only* Enclosures?

I have an old Fujitsu 40Gb HDD I thought I'd stick in an enclosure. Ideally, it would be for plugging into an even older laptop, and ideally, would run off USB only - no kettle lead.

Do any such things exist?

Otherwise, presumably an Icy Box IB351U would suit the HDD?

As far as I'm aware these type of enclosures exist (click me !) but a USB port does not provide enough power so they all come with a power adapter ....

hubbart is right, 3.5" drives draw too much power for that. Some 2.5" drives can do it with some USB controllers, but even that is subject to variation.
