Hey, I posted up this topic in the mobo section, but I figured it might be nice to others looking at getting a crossfire pc.

I'll brief the article. Basically, a new mobo that has a new crossfire 3200 chipset will be released soon. What is does is allow you to run 2 x1000 series cards without the need to get the master card. So you can buy 2 normal 1900XTX cards and run them in crossfire.

I would bet this will really help push crossfire, as that gets rid of the biggest problem with it, the master card.

f**k, I just got a sli board for my x1800lx because ati chipsets sucked. I never planed on running two cards but the option would be nice. Does anyone know if x700s can still run in crossfire [ unofficialy].

Well if you weren't going to do it right now anyways, it likely would've been better to wait for an AM2 board anyways.

Yes, HKEPC got them to run and 2 X300s too.

seems to be nothing of use. The benches look good, but can,t find the hacked bios or drivers. It seems like hkepc was the only ones to do it.
