im really new at this and dont know alot,,it would be helpfull for someone to help me out here..i want to get a gaming rig setup,,what do i need compared to what i already have,,my specs are:
processor-intel pentium ll 348 mhz.
display card-ATI 3-D RAGE PRO Turbo
memory-128 mb
operating system-microsoft windows 2000
free disc space-426 mb
display driver version 5.0.2184.1
direct x version 7.0
optional drive- cd
sound card-none

i dont have alot to spend,,what all do i need to begin gaming?

Hummmmmm, get together around 600-800 bucks and you'll be sport'en a pretty good PC... Unless you need a monitor, OS (XP) and keyboard/mouse then a little more.

so another words it wouldnt be worth upgrading,,i should get a newer pc,,what kind?,,also i just got a apple pc off the streets and its specs are

well i really wana play games like command and conquer generals or socom,,but i know im a long ways off from that,,so in the mean time i guess my system can play curtain games like,,deer hunter,,rollercoaster tycoon,,certain sims games exc. is this right?

no i dont have the 800$$ to go right out and slap down,,,anything i do will have to be alittle here alittle there,,,so my computer,,windows 2000 pro,,or the apple isnt worth going and getting any games for,,?,,not even the older ones i mentioned?,,,,
