How to install wmp 11 on windows 7 sp2 (common solution does not work!!!)

Hello,
i have found many forums \ how to s on installing mp 11 on win 7 and i have followed all instructions percisely many times (5) each after a restore to the previous day. and i get no errors during the procedure all goes smoothly until i reboot then i go to click on icon and i get the error message that wmp is not installed properly and must be re-installed. i am using win 7 64 sp2

i mean sp 1. i did all 5 installs the same night (this evening of 3/30) restored to yesterday (mp 12 working)
