Opteron 170 vs X2 4400+

I am looking at buying the opty 170 but after looking at the specs for both processors stated above. I can get the 4400 for just a little more. I know that the opty will overclock better but I only plan on oc'ing 200-300mhz anyway. The 4400 has 128k L1 cache vs 64k in the opty and the 4400 is 200mhz higher clock speed to start with.

I think that must be a typo on Newegg. It says 128k+128k. But after checking some other places I believe you are right. Which actually makes more sense. I think I have decided just to go with the opty which is about 50 bucks less. Thanks

It says 128k+128k,everywher i have seen describes the 4400 and the 4800 to have the exact same specs
