Check these two at Newegg:
A8N-SLI Deluxe
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131517
A8N32-SLI
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131568

Both boards are listed as socket 939.
A8N-SLI Deluxe says it supports Athlon 64 FX/Athlon 64/Sempron processors.
A8N32-SLI says it supports Athlon 64 FX/Athlon 64/Athlon X2 processors.

From Asus's web site, the first board doesn't mention Sempron at all, only lists the Athlon 64FX/Athlon 64 processors at the top, but down on the page a bit says that it supports Dual-Core and Athlon 64X2 Dual-Core processors.
http://usa.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=15&l3=148&model=375&modelmenu=1

On Asus's web site, the second board does mention Sempron as a supported processor.
http://usa.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=15&l3=226&model=744&modelmenu=1

Now if that's not confusing enough, according to AMD's web site, all the Sempron Processorss listed are Socket 754, not socket 939.
http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_118_11599_11604,00.html

So can somebody please make sense of this contradictory information for me?

I've seen these kinds of typos before...

As there are no socket 939 Semprons, simply ignore that reference..
