I am about to buy a new computer. I need it for 3d designs and graphics, using 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD, as well as Photoshop or Corel. My problem is that a notebook would be quite usefull. But i can't find anywhere a good comparison between the performance of a desktop and the one of a notebook, having similar configurations, but for the processor clock. My question is how much difference is between a P4 3Ghz desktop and a P4 M 1,73 Ghz notebook (considering that everything else is pretty much the same). It's hard to decide.
