fan question

my case came with 3 120mm fans with 4 LEDs on each of them. if i crush the LEDs with pliers will the fans still work or will it be like Christmas lights and cut off power to everything?

(wasn't sure where to post this, but since it's kinda about fans here we are )

I wouldn't recommend crushing the led's personally.

I think what you can do is cut the wire leading to the led's to break the circuit. Just make sure that the ends of the wires cannot come into contact with any electrically-conductive surface afterwards.
