Hi

I'm looking for a new laptop and want to output to my LCD which has a 1366x768 panel, not the usual 1280x720. The blub for the Mobility Radeon X1400 (http://www.ati.com/products/mobilityradeonx1400/specs.html) says it supports HDTV resolutions but doesn't specify which and if the 1366x768 is supported or not.

I assume most of the ATis are the same so could someone with a similar card please check support for this specific res?

Well the X1400 will be different from my X700, but I can assure you it will work, even if you need to run another app to 'unlock' the resolution. Anyways I'll check when I get home.

Even on the GF6 series which had trouble with some WS resolutions, you could enable it with a quick regedit or driver hack.

I would suggest you also check out a program like 'multi-res' if you're switching between your laptop and the external LCd's resolutions.
