How far were you guys able to push the 4000+ (San Diego)? I got to 2.9Ghz with 1.632V at which the temps started really to rocket into the 55C region. This is with a stock AMD fan. Is there more room to OC this thing (not going to try with the stock fan!) with a better cooler? How far have you guys gone with this thing with a better cooler? Is 3Ghz possible with this CPU?

I've seen a review where they overclcked a 3700+ (San Diego) to 3.2Ghz stable and 3.4Ghz unstable so maybe if you buy a good Zalman or ThermalRight cooler you could overclck it even more  .

It depends on the stepping. My 3700+ San Diego(KACAE 0546APCW) will do 3.1GHz stable...On air. Thats with a Zalman CNPS7000B-ALCU. Temps are good...Never going over 45C(cold room). I also have good ram running 1:1 @ DDR560. Ram will play a big factor in your max speed as well.

See :)

See what stepping your chip is and google it. Then you can get a ballpark figure on what you should be able to do.

EDIT: BTW, 3.1GHz was achieved with 1.65V!
