i have a old msi k7t turbo ver 3 board cpu is athalon xp 1700
with memory 512
the diagnosic led on the board light up as follows
1 =red
2 =green
3=red
4= red
and hangs all drives spin {only have floppy installed for this test}
system just hangs and wont let the vido light up the monitor screen any help tnx's

Some XP processor core variants are not supported by that mb, per MSI's site....

Do you know if it's a Palomino core/.18 um variant? (good, if so, because..)

If a .13 um XP variant, will not work...

Assuming you have a compatible core, you need a known good PS, try resetting the BIOS, and disconnect everything but video card and memory, as you are initially just trying to get it to POST...

(What wattage PSU? I'd be leery of anything smaller than 300 watt unit)
