I was playing some games today and I noticed that my HDD temperature was at 37C. I haven't seen it at this temperature before and was wondering if it was running too hot. The HDD has an 80mm fan in front of it, blowing directly on it in my Aspire X-Navigator case. If it is running too hot, can i get some suggestions for cooling w/o going to watercooled?
For your hard drive, an air cooling would be sufficient enough for cooling. Your temps 37c* is normal. Hard drive coolers are mostly used for servers and alike since they work 24/7 most of the time. With a desktop, your hard drive should be okay when running games and other software.
