I have a neglected Jornada 525 pocket pc with WinCE on it. It's worth
next to nothing to sell so I would like to use it to control my AV gear.

Dedicated colour remote controls cost a fortune (around £700 upwards).

I've had a look around for software to turn my PDA into a remote
control but can't find anything to run on this "old" piece of kit.

Anyone got any ideas?

I don't know if the software exists anymore but years ago there
was software that would do it.

It's a nice "gee whiz" look what I can do with this thing but I gave
up on it and stuck with the remote that came with the
stereo/TV/VCR/DVD etc. One of the problems is the 548 I had
was very low powered for the infrared.

There is an item called total remote, you can download the trial software
and look at it try it out close up. They have a IR booster that plugs into
the stereo jack. checkout the website, it may or may not work for your PPC.

With Amy's point in mind, the Griffin Totalremote is cheap enough to
have a go - if it doen't work out it won't break the bank.

Thanks guys!
