More Information

Hi all!

When I power on my computer the screen stays black and I get two sequences of beeps, #1 is a long beep repeating every five seconds and #2 is a high-low alternating beep.
It happened from one day to another with no changes to the hardware whatsoever.
The mainboard is a Epox EP-4BEA.

To fix this I removed every card except the agp one, removed every external device (such as usb stuff) except the keyboard, replaced the power source, and removed the cmos battery.
Nothing worked.

I then replaced the 512 DDR ram chip with a 256 one, and voila, the board boots up smoothly.
Interestingly enough I fixed this issue at the time I wrote this report. :)
But I'll post this nevertheless because it might be helpful to others.

best regards
and always boot up green!
