Picking fans for new computer.

I have a few questions concerning fans.

I'm planning on getting this motherboard: Asus A8N-E nForce4 Ultra

Does it support fan speed monitoring?
Are fans, such as the Antec TriCool series, that have adjustable speeds adjusted physically or through software?

I'm not sure of it's possible but I'd like to configure a system, using that motherboard, with automatic rpm change based on temperature/system load.

Basically, a no-trouble setup that will quiet down when dowloading while I'm sleeping in the same room^^;

Yes that mobo supports monitoring and should be able to control them as well
