My system specs for now:
AMD ATHLON 64 3500+ @ 2.2Ghz Venice core
ABIT KN8 Ultra mobo
ASUS EAX1600PRO/TD 256MB PCI-e
TACENS RADIX 400Watt PSU
512MB Kingston Value Ram 333Mhz(I will buy Crucial dual channel kit)
SEAGATE Barracuda 40GB Ultra ATA 133 2MB cache

My problem: Computer reboots on Windows flash screen, can“t install Windows because just before installing proccess begins the computer reboots. Now the computer powers on but there is no video signal. Help please.

Could be a number of things:
1st I would check the power supply sounds like it may be stuggling. The PSU you have is fairly cheap and dont be fooled by the 400w its quite lackluster on the important 12v rail.

Try an borrow or use another psu to eliminate that factor.

Also try a different ram module just to ge the basics out of the way.

it wont boot because of the 333 ram.........next you can only put your video card in when installing windows........leave everything else out till windows is installed........abit boards are picky.......and they do like good memory..........patriot is a good inexpensive memory that works very well look at newegg.com for it

Problem solved. It was the memory, now the same RAM works fine in DIMM 3. I am going to buy Kingston HyperX kit anyway, for best stability.

You will be better off with Corsair, OCZ or Crucial in that order.

Make sure you use a dual channel kit for better performance and remove the old stick.

AMD64s work best with 2 sticks, they have to slow down with 3 or 4 sticks and only run in 64bit mode with 1 stick.

Socket 940 Opterons work best with 2 sticks for each CPU.

2 CPUs with 4 sticks provides 2x the RAM bandwith

4 CPUs with 8 sticks provides 4x the RAM bandwith

8 CPUs with 16 sticks provides 8x the RAM bandwith

You could say they scale very well :D

Good luck
