Can anyone recommend a motherboard that supports an Intel Core Duo (the son of the Pentium M) with the 955X chipset and is compatible with ECC memory?

The mb should be under $250 (without CPU chip or memory) support GbE (dont care about WiFi), 2 channels of IDE (don't care about SATA) with hardware-RAID1, AGP (dont care about PCIX), legacy RS232 serial with WakeOnRing, USB2, 5.1 audio (dont care about optical), at least three 32-bit PCI slots and the BIOS needs to support the ability to power-on at a preset time with full Linux kernel 2.6.x support.

If I didn't _need_ ECC, I would jump all over Apple's Mac Mini Core Duo (introduced last week), but there is no way I can waive that requirement for the intended application. (Please do not reply if you can't help.)

Good luck with that.
I don't think there is currently any motherboard on newegg compatible with the core duo.

Does anyone have any LINUX experience with these motherboards that seem to meet MOST of the cool [pun intended] specs?

Gigabyte GA-81955x Royal

Intel 955XBKLKR

I think only 945x chipsets are out now. I know A-Open has one and a Asus is on the way. You may find one in Taiwan.
