I have an AMD X2 4400 OC'd to 2.6. The system is unbelievably stable especially considering the wide variety of games I play (BF2, Guild Wars, Hearts of Iron 2, etc) However, I do have a problem...

At random intervals (maybe twice / week) Windows will display "network cable unplugged" for about 1/2 second and then it goes away... at this point my onboard NIC is not functioning. I clocked my PC to stock speed and this behavior persisted so I don't believe it's a result of the overclock. I have multiple devices on my switch and this is the only one exhibiting a problem. I have also tried different ports.

The only resolution to this problem (that I know of!) is to power off the system off, unplug it, push the power button (discharging the remaining electricity), plug it back in and power it back on.

I was curious if anyone else had heard of a similar problem with this board or onboard NICs in general. Would a BIOS update possibly help this? I don't see how it could be a driver issue, but who knows... any input would be greatly appreciated.

i have a similar problem with my mobo A8N-E wherein i can access the internet only for 5-6 hours(now it works only for 2-3 hours) after which i have to restart the machine after which it again works only for the same amount of time.

Looking at your configuration, the only common link I see is that we both have an SB-Live. Other than that, nothing jumps out at me.
